We went to the
Wildwood Wildlife Park while on vacation. It used to be a small petting zoo that our family would go to almost every summer when we vacationed in
Minocqua. It's changed a lot since my childhood days but there is still lots of animals you can pet. The whole thing is enclosed and there are lots of animals wondering around. A lot of the other animals can be taken out of the cages by the staff to pet. You can feed almost everything including the bears & camel. It's very hands on and was TONS of fun for Hunter!!
The 1st part is full of goats &
north woods creatures like
raccoons, skunks, bunnies...
Hunter loved that the goats were everywhere and he had to hug everyone!

He had so much fun chasing the goats around. There were also a pot bellied pig, big tortoises, bunnies & peacocks running around. Hunter also petted an albino
raccoon, skunk & porcupine.
The second part of the zoo had deer roaming around. This part had more exotic animals like tigers, zebras, mountain lions....
There were lots of albino animals. Here's Hunter petting some albino deer.

These baby bunnies were so cute!! Hunter was so funny holding them... this was moments before he chucked it back in the pen : )

More albino animals.... a peacock.

There was an aviary full of 700 parakeets. It was very cool, you could feed them with a little bird seed stick and they would land on it. It was lined with ropes that were just full of the birds.

We went in the morning, got our hand stamped, went home for lunch and Hunter's nap and went back in the afternoon. We were staying only a few minutes away from the zoo so it worked out good.
Petting a
tortoise. They were suprisingly quick.

Pa & Aidan in the baby
bjorn. I started out with him but he's getting heavy!! We took the stroller in the morning and just the baby
bjorn back in the afternoon.

The zoo was big hit. So cute and so much fun for everyone, especially Hunter!!

I love the smile on Aidan's face as he's in the bjorn with his Pa carrying him. That's priceless!
