Dare I Say It!!

Dare I say it??? I think we can officially say we've "potty trained" one little toddler boy. We are going on 6 days with only 1 accident in those 6 days. We finally hit a point last week and after a long drawn out struggle got over a major hurdle and haven't looked back! I'll spare you the graphic details but lets just say we had one uncomfortable little boy. He's been doing so good and is so proud of himself. We are still using diapers at night. I don't really expect him to make it thru the nights yet. And I haven't been brave enough to take him out yet without a pull-up diaper but we'll (I'll) get there.
The other dilemma is trying to take him potty in public. We've been doing it for awhile but I certainly haven't found an easy way to do it. Suspend him over the toilet, pray he doesn't touch everything.... what do you do??? Take a little potty everywhere we go? Any suggestions??
I bought the book "Potty Training in 1 Day" last fall and let's just say it took more than 1 day but we got there!
I feel like it's the biggest milestone to date & we are so happy!!

Lost Picture

So I had a weird thing happen to me the other day. I took a few pictures outside and went back inside to look at them. The 1st picture popped up and I thought hmnnn.... I don't remember taking that picture of Aidan... wait, I didn't. That's not Aidan, that's Hunter. What's going on?? Why's there a baby picture of Hunter on my camera??? After a little confusion I figured out that I had dropped my camera the day before, popped the memory card out and was using the internal memory I didn't know existed. And yes there were several pictures of Hunter from June 2007 on the internal memory.
So here's my "lost" picture of Hunter at age 6 months. Little munchkin!!
And just for fun a picture of Aidan at 6 months.... of course the big difference is the hair.

Aidan is longer and leaner and yes balder... but as Aidan's hair has been coming in I've been feeling like he is looking more & more like his big brother.
Now I know yet another thing about my camera.

Last Summer Weekend

We went on a very last minute Labor Day weekend get-a-away to Waupaca. We had such lovely weather to enjoy the weekend. I really couldn't believe we could be swimming in a lake in September..... (and by "we" I do mean Hunter, not me!)

There was fishing...
There was swimming...
There were turtles... : )

Not always easy traveling anywhere with 2 little ones but worth the hassle for one last fun summer weekend!
