Happy 4th

We celebrated the 4th with Hunter & Aidan's 1st 4th of July parade in Winnebago. It was sprinkling a little in the morning and then stopped, so we went hoping it wouldn't rain any more. It started to rain a little bit after the parade started and continued.... it did rain on our parade!! We got wet, but still had fun.
Hunter was very excited to see the fire engine trucks that we told him he'd see. Besides that I don't think he had any idea what a parade was. He loved seeing all the trucks & tractors and of course caught on quickly to chasing down all the candy being thrown his way. He was cute plugging his ears over his hoody before it started.

Aidan did super good. He was protected by my umbrella and fell asleep about half way and slept thru all the parade noise!
Hunter & Aunt Kelly...she used him successfully to get even more candy tossed her way : )


Hunter with all of his parade loot. He filled his little brown bag and then some. He would have got even more because they were throwing so much candy at the end but it was raining so hard it was all going on the wet street. We had lots of fun & he's still talking about the "fire engine trucks!"
