Vacation: The Beach

We had never been to this resort before and all I knew was it said it had a "sandy beach." From staying at other places I knew that might not mean much. The night before we left I was telling Hunter that we were going to leave the next morning and about what to expect on vacation. I told him there was a cabin and lake and then I said beach. He stopped and I could see him trying to process that. Then he looked at me and laughed and said "no way!" It was so funny because it was like he couldn't imagine going somewhere with a real beach. We left the next morning and the 1st stop we made about 1 hr. down the road at a gas station Hunter got out and looked around and said "where's the beach?"
Too funny... I really hoped our "beach" didn't disappoint and it didn't! It was nice and big, lots of sand and there were tons of toys spread across it everyday we were there. I think they belonged to some other little boys staying there but they didn't seem to care if we played with them since they left them scattered across the beach everyday.
Hunter loved it and spent lots of time playing at the beach.

His favorite beach toys were of course this little truck & bike he found. Lots of time spent making roads in the sand and driving them around.
Aidan getting in on some beach time.
Hunter was pretty fearless. He'd venture out pretty far into the lake up to his chest sometimes. And although the weather wasn't bad it wasn't like it was super hot or anything but the cold didn't seem to bother him. He liked jumping off the piers to be caught.
We also fed the ducks several times. Hunter loved this and they were pretty tame. This was int the little bay we parked the boat in.
A little swing set by the beach. Aidan liked swinging in the bee.

Fun, fun! It was very scenic and beautiful and relaxing to sit in a lawn chair with my toes in the sand and watch him play.
