21 Months

Hunter turned 21 months yesterday (Adam thinks I need to stop keeping track.) I'll use this as an excuse though to update on all of his latest and favorite things.

Choo-choo! He is on a big choo-choo kick right now! Specifically Thomas the Train. We found this on PBS a month or so ago and he was hooked. It's only on 1x a week so I keep the shows on our DVR so we can watch whenever. (Love our DVR!) Also, since those were getting old, to me only, I bought the newest Thomas DVD for him too. He wakes up in the morning and wants to watch choo-choo, we come home... all he wants to watch is choo-choo. Just loves it right now!

Cars. He loves playing with his toy cars. He lays on the floor and makes brrrmmmming, vrrmmming and beep-beep noises. He carries around as many as he can hold and is always trying to hand them to me. He also will find the cars that look like Daddy's car and call it da-da. It's funny that it's such a little boy thing and something that just comes so naturally to little boys.. being drawn to cars and making all the sound effects.

Moo-ba's. Translated it means "More Bugs!" He still loves going outside and searching for frogs and bugs. He loves looking for great big gardener spiders that are everywhere right now. He walks up and down our drive-way looking for them in their webs and gets so excited to find more and more. The more he finds the more excited he gets and "more bugs" starts to turn into him just saying "moo-ba, moo-ba!"

Oh-oh! Everything is "oh-oh" these days. He started saying this a lot a little over a month ago and says it all the time now. He throws things, breaks something, drops something..."oh-oh, oh-oh." He also says it when he is watching tv and Thomas falls off the track or crashes into something... "oh-oh!"

Two & Blue. He is recognizing and saying some colors and numbers but his faves are two & blue. He is good at finding two of something and saying "two cars, two balls, two..... whatever else." Blue is the only color he can say easily, his favorite thing to say "blue ball."

NO! He has learned to use "NO" but he doesn't use it all the time, just when he really wants to say it and make a point. He definitely knows what it means and tries to use it forcefully when he feels necessary. He uses it in a cute way too when he can't find something or asks for something he knows he doesn't really need.

Picture time, this is him looking for "moo-ba's" He looks and looks and then just loves finding those darn spiders! He has good eyes too because there's a lot of times when he'll spot one before Adam or I.
Finding a little hoppy frog. He says "hop, hop, hop" when he finds them now. Some are so little we have to make sure he doesn't harm them with his enthuisiasm.
Playing outside, will not keep the cute hat on.
What do you see??
Laying on the floor playing with his cars.
He also loves saying "bye." To anything and everything... bye choo, bye bug, bye frog, bye everything! And when we are in the store he hi's and bye's everyone.

I think I could keep going but I'll stop for now. These are the most popular things he loves or is doing right now. He keeps us very entertained and busy! It's fun to watch him learning so much and enjoying all the simple things of life.

Oh my! I don't what I'd do with a little one that loves spiders. I'm getting braver but still just freak out at least internally if I see one that's even average size. Good for him! Glad you have such a little adventure!
Love you!
