The Zoo

We went to the Madison Zoo for the 1st time on Sunday. It turned out to be a pretty nice day. I hadn't been to this zoo in many years. It's perfect for small kids and it's free, so you can't beat that! We went with Grammy & Grampy ("me & pa") as Hunter calls them : ) Adam was out of town on his annual boys weekend get-a-way so he missed out.

Playing in the children's zoo play area. He made a little friend with the girl behind him. She took a rock from him and then Hunter decided to keep giving her rocks and was chasing her around trying to hand her rocks.

Inside the Aviary. These scary, noisy birds were the only thing at the zoo that frightened Hunter to tears. They squawked pretty loud and he jumped and stuck out his bottom lip, followed by another loud squawk and it was time to leave the Aviary.

These tame little ducks were his favorite. He chased them around and even was brave enough to feed a goose. I have video of that I'll have to try and get up.

Fun times at the zoo! He was pretty tired by the end and was getting a little glazed over. The only thing they didn't have that I wanted him to see was elephants.... Hunter does a funny elephant impression. I think he enjoyed his 1st zoo trip, we'll definitely go back!
