Dare I say it??? I think we can officially say we've "potty trained" one little toddler boy. We are going on 6 days with only 1 accident in those 6 days. We finally hit a point last week and after a long drawn out struggle got over a major hurdle and haven't looked back! I'll spare you the graphic details but lets just say we had one uncomfortable little boy. He's been doing so good and is so proud of himself. We are still using diapers at night. I don't really expect him to make it thru the nights yet. And I haven't been brave enough to take him out yet without a pull-up diaper but we'll (I'll) get there.
The other dilemma is trying to take him potty in public. We've been doing it for awhile but I certainly haven't found an easy way to do it. Suspend him over the toilet, pray he doesn't touch everything.... what do you do??? Take a little potty everywhere we go? Any suggestions??
I bought the book "Potty Training in 1 Day" last fall and let's just say it took more than 1 day but we got there!
I feel like it's the biggest milestone to date & we are so happy!!

Going potty in public is definitely no fun! When they can just stand for #1, that makes it much easier. We did a little bit of everything, though...sometimes I'd try ot hold him up or make a seat of toilet paper. :-) We usually did keep a potty seat in the van, though (the kind that sits on top of a toilet). Just keep lots of Purell on hand! :-)
Congrats on the big milestone!
