This was the scene from our windows yesterday morning. The snow was so thick and heavy that the pictures don't really do it justice. With the snow yesterday we are now tied with the record for the most snow in a winter ever...
63.4 inches this winter! So when I say it's felt like a long winter... I'm not kidding. This is for those of you in warmer and sunnier places (be thankful!) This winter has been crazy!! And more snow supposed to come tonight and tomorrow : ( It's almost March can't we please be done soon!! The snow foiled our plans to get out yesterday again... another snow day... they are getting really tiring! Hunter came down with his 1st cold of the winter yesterday too. Very stuffy and snotty. I was worried about another ear infection but I think he's doing better today so hopefully it was just a short-lived nasty cold. It's so sad when he's sick.... and when his nose is runny it's the worst. He can fight me off like a little ninja when I try to come at him with a tissue.
So for now I dream of warmer weather, sunny days, flip-flops and shorts and nice long walks with warm breezes..... ahhhhhh. Spring really can't come soon enough!!

I am thankful to be in Florida, but I must admit that I miss the change in seasons and the first snowfall. The long winters I am happy to do without. Hang in there, Spring is around the corner.
Last year we were in your shoes...tons of snow and really, really cold! I must admit, this year is not nearly as bad. In fact, tomorrow it's supposed to be 70! Ok, that's just my way of trying to convince more of my Rockford friends to move closer to me...maybe it will work after this horrible winter! :) Stay warm...and love the new site!
